Who volunteers for North South, and what do we do?
NSF volunteers believe in educational contests in US, and funding education for needy students in India. Most volunteers have or have had their own children participate in the contests.

We help our students grow. NSF Volunteers help run the organization, have fun and create opportunities for students. We organize the contests, run practice-sessions, publicize, garner sponsors, and more. We are always looking for new volunteers. The time-commitment can be as little as a day per year (!), to as much as you like. We meet roughly once every 3-4 weeks between January and April, and once every 6-10 weeks during rest of the year, to plan out our work and to have some fun. Join us!

Information for our Sponsors
We are very thankful to our sponsors for supporting student growth and education both locally and in India. Information about sponsorship levels, and key benefits to sponsors is listed here.
Our sponsors are listed on this website's pages, as well as in all our publicity flyers, and recognized live multiple times during the NSF-PDX bees.
NSF Contest Levels
NSF contests are for school-students of all grades. NSF-PDX focuses on elementary and middle-school students. Click here to determine the appropriate contests for your child.
Conflict of Interest Policy
A volunteer for a contest may not have any family member participate in the .contest. For example, if a student is participating in Math contest Level 2, then their parents/siblings may not volunteer for any Math bee contest activities (regardless of the level).
